The Dix Seismo Lab seminar is a presentation of current research in geophysics by students, staff, and visitors.

This seminar series was created by alumni, friends, and corporate donors as a tribute to Professor Charles Hewitt Dix, in recognition of his important contributions to the development of exploration seismology, and his long and effective service as a teacher of geophysics at Caltech between 1948 and 1973.
