Here are some instructions/suggestions for viewing the photo slide shows. First of all, enable Java in your browser preferences. Although the album has the look of a multi-media player, it is based entirely on HTML [I used the free Java album software, JAlbum along with the PixPlayer skin here].

General Viewing Options: You have the option of viewing each album as a slide show (otherwise, you have to click on either the main window/thumbnail each time you want to update!). Hit the "Play" button. A slide transition (or delay) time (in seconds) appears below the main panel, and can be adjusted using the left and right arrows on either side. Note that the 5 seconds default is pretty good if you want to absorb what's in the image (3-5 seconds is optimal). To view the picture title, just drag your mouse on to the image being displayed. The title takes 1 sec to load, so make sure to set the delay time to 3 sec or longer. Finally, you can view all the photo thumbnails under a given album using the slider at the bottom of the "player", if you want to breeze through the album or locate a particular image. Alternatively, set the slide show delay time to 1 or 2 seconds. To move between different albums, just move your cursor to the "More Galleries" button for a pop-up menu.

Viewing/Saving Full-size Pictures: To enable fast downloading, I have resampled each original image at 1024 x 1024 or smaller (resulting in > 90% compression). Note that the image displayed in the "player" is much smaller than this (600 x 450 max). To view the full-sized (1024 x 1024) image and/or download it, click on the "save" button below the image. You can also Zoom in and out to see more or less detail within the player's frame. Right click on the image and choose "Save Image As..." to save to your preferred destination.
