Research

I am interested in source processes. My current research includes a study of the mechanisms of earthquakes associated with the volcanic eruption on Miyakejima, Japan in 2000. I am using full moment tensor inversions of seismic data as well as GPS data to constrain the mechanisms of these earthquakes, some of which appear to have very complex and possibly time-dependent mechanisms.
