Research
My primary research is in lithospheric deformation, including interseismic deformation and the seismic cycle. I have developed a model of interseismic deformation near srike-slip faults with general, linear viscoelastic rheologies. I am currently extending the model to other rheologies and geometries, and I am continuing to investigate the effects of assumed lithospheric rheologies on postseismic and interseismic deformation. I am also developing techniques to invert observed interseismic deformation directly for frictional properties.
