Research
My research is primarily devoted to understanding the earthquake rupture process and coupling among faults based on observations, experiments and models with emphasis on the interrelation between geometry and physics. I use approaches drawn from seismology, fracture mechanics, fluid dynamics, self-organizing systems and non-linear dynamics.
