Research

I am currently investigating the deformation and vertical motion of North America during the Mesozoic and Cenozoic using a thermochemical convection model with constraints from paleogeography. The geodynamic model utilizes 'progressive data assimilation' methods to ensure that flow in the mantle is consistent with plate history. This enables me to compare model output with a wide range of geological and geophysical data. I am also interested in the structure and dynamics of the deep earth.
