Research

I apply a combination of field research, tectonic analysis and numerical geodynamic modeling to investigate the kinematics and dynamics of interesting tectonic processes. In my doctoral research at McGill University, I investigated processes of tectonic sebduction erosion and applied geodynamic insights to the interpretation of forearc removal in southern Mexico at the end of the Oligocene. In my post-doctoral research at Caltech, I will investigate the processes which may have formed the remarkably deep Cenozoic basins and their mid-Cenozoic inversions in the Sunda region of southeast Asia.
